$35 Billion Shopping Mall in Baghdad

The Baghdad Investment Commission (BIC) invested $35 billion in one of the country biggest shopping malls.  The mall is located in the Al-Mansoor area and it houses some of the worlds’ most famous restaurant chains and shopping brands. (Iraq Business News)

The new hotel Ramada on Salim Street that was opened in the heart of Sulaimani is part of  the Wyndham Hotel Group. The hotel can house up to 700 people with 5-star service.  (Iraq Business News)

Entry of International Banks

Following the entrance of Citigroup and Standard Chartered, JP Morgan joined the crow. JP Morgan signed a one-year contract with the Trade Bank of Iraq. The bank aims to help TBI develop their banking services and develop the overall banking sector in Iraq. (Iraq Business News)

Kurdish-Jordanian Investment Forum

In order to enhance Kurdish relationship with neighboring countries, the second Kurdish-Jordanian Investment Forum was held in Amman early July. The first forum was first held in Erbil on April 2011; these forums are increasing economic growth in the Kurdish region.
